Brian set out to write songs into that gap and, over several years, wrote 40 new songs about long love. This recording contains 12 of those songs, now fully realized with beautiful full band arrangements. Beneath the surface of these love song lyrics, these songs remember that our romance is rooted in the unconditional, everlasting love of God. Brian has spent much of his life writing love songs to and from God. In this project, he’s singing love songs to Joyce, the wife of his youth, as they continue to share all of life’s ebbs and flows together after 40 years of marriage. However, these songs are not just about Brian & Joyce’s love, but about long love shared by couples everywhere.
