So many times we find ourselves standing at a crossroads asking God for direction. I wrote this song initially for our local church the week after we found out our dearly loved senior pastor and family was moving away. I also wrote for those of us who have had dreams die in the past, and God is gently calling us to take risks and dream again! At this point, it would be easier to resign ourselves to giving up, but God’s intention is that we would be fruitful for Him. Often we ask God to move in our lives when He is waiting for us to take simple steps in obedience to what He has already shown us -- steps that will lead us into the fullness of His intentions for us. And that means trying again, because how many of us really get it right the first time we try. Since I wrote this song, the song has taken on a life of its own, and in addition to being sung in worship services has also been used at some weddings.
